Short-form content for Portale, Michelin-starred chef Alfred Portale's Chelsea restaurant.

Portale

The “Challenge”

Portale is a celebrated Chelsea institution from Michelin-starred chef Alfred Portale, the culinary force behind the legendary Gotham Bar and Grill. When they launched their brunch and lunch program this past summer, they needed a social strategy to match.

The Execution

My focus was highlighting their lunch/brunch dishes, and bringing to light the unique fact that it’s family-run.

Instead of developing stand alone videos marketing their dishes and wine program, I created two fun and engaging social series that brought us into the intimate moments of the restaurant and personalities of Chef Alfred, his daughter, the Head of Marketing and Events, and their whimsical and poetic Wine Director.

❋ The Results

  • +550% views + engagement

  • +1200% more engagement

The Strategy

I led end-to-end content development — from concept through delivery — ensuring a consistent, high-quality presence across platforms.

  • Cohesive creative direction and personality driven storytelling

  • Short-form video production

Family Business Series

The video series brings Portale’s customers and viewers deeper into the business. Instead of generic marketing-speak, I brought the humor and realness of their father-daughter relationship to their social.

Food Focused

From start-to-end authentic Italian preparation, to serving some of their iconic dishes (like this dreamy linguine alla vongole)

Diner’s Experience

Captured and edited the experience of fine dining and trying the lunch menu for a format native to social.
